About Us
Who we are, what we cover and why Ultimatehrtips exists.
Ultimatehrtips is an independent publication dedicated to one thing: helping people work from home well. We publish practical, plain-English guides on remote work and home office life for employees, freelancers, job seekers and the HR professionals and managers who support distributed teams across the United States.
Why we started
Remote and hybrid work went from a perk to a permanent part of American working life in just a few years. Yet most advice online is either a thinly disguised product list or generic tips that ignore how people actually live. We wanted a resource that treats home workers like adults: clear explanations, realistic steps, honest trade-offs and a respect for both budgets and wellbeing.
What we cover
- Home Office Setup — desks, chairs, lighting, layout and small-space solutions.
- Productivity & Focus — routines, planning systems and deep work.
- Remote Tools & Tech — internet, audio, video, security and software.
- Remote Careers & Job Search — finding legitimate remote roles and growing your career.
- Remote Team Management — onboarding, communication, culture and performance from an HR perspective.
- Health & Ergonomics — posture, movement, eye care and healthy desk habits.
- Work-Life Balance — boundaries, family life and burnout prevention.
Our approach
Our guides draw on established public guidance — for example from OSHA, the CDC, NIOSH, the U.S. Department of Labor and the FTC — along with widely accepted workplace and HR practices. We avoid sensational claims, we explain the reasoning behind our recommendations, and we update articles when advice changes. You can read more in our Editorial Policy.
Independence
We are not paid to recommend specific products, and our editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisers. This site may display advertising (for example through Google AdSense) to cover hosting and writing costs; ads are always visually distinct from our content.
